SUNY PLATTSBURGH
Student Chapter of the Botanical Society of America

Botany & Plant Biology 2007

Here we all are at The Taste of Chicago. From left to right, Carrianne, Jen, Megan,
Dr. Martine, and Dan.

We were fortunate enough to have four of our members attend the conference. Along with Dr. Christopher Martine, the local botanist at PSU.

We attended several talks about current research in several different fields of botany and learned about different graduate school possibilities.

Dan walking with our friend Ana Maria, who is from Colombia and
studies in Puerto Rico. In one week she became a great lifelong
friend to all of us.

We were given the opportunity to meet a variety of other people interested in botany while at the conference. We met undergraduates, graduates in MS and PhD programs, past and future BSA presidents, international members, and legendary botanists.
