4/22/05 11:03AM - T4: First upload of our journal is complete.
4/24/05 6:11PM - Dr. Beverly Brown: I'm curious - do you have any idea how you will tell whether the white tissue you see is a root or a shoot? What will you look for?
4/25/05 4:12PM - T4 Response to Dr. Brown: ,We believe that the white tissue we see is a root because upon dissection of the seed, there were shapes that appeared to be early leaves inside, not on the white tissue.
4/27/05 9:43AM - T4:We are interested in certain seed types growth under UV light. We were wondering if anyone had any specific seeds that they think would work well in this experiment.
4/27/05 2:52PM - Dr. Beverly Brown: Excellent! You know what you are looking for. As far as seeds and UV go, you may be the pioneers in this area. Choose some species and go for it!
5/2/05 11:19AM - T4 Response to Dr. Brown: We have started our experiment using UV light with plants, these plants are Red Clover, Buckwheat, Wheat.
5/4/05 4:17PM - PEER COMMENT from Bush Team 7: I thought that the UV idea was really cool. I wonder if it will yield results. I like the idea. How did you come up with it.
5/4/05 4:27PM - PEER COMMENT from Bush Team 8 (Jessica): We thought that your question was really interesting, because we were curious about the same thing. We are wondering how you are going to answer this question and if we find out anything about it we will let you know.
5/6/05 12:02PM - Dr. Gordon Uno: What do you think that effect of UV on platns is likely to be? Do you know what the effect of UV on cells is? Do you expect that the plants will react differently to different levels of UV? Is this shoot length, rood length or shoot + root?
5/9/05 10:58AM - Dr. Jenny Archibald: I'm curious about your methods. How did you adjust the light conditions? Did you seclude the UV treatment so that it ONLY had UV light, or did it have both normal light and supplemental UV light? It will be interesting to see how the different plants react.
