4/22/05 11:05AM - T3: First upload of our journal is complete.
4/24/05 3:23PM - Dr. Jeffery Osborn: Dear Team 3 members, I see you've uploaded your journal. I look forward to seeing your data.
4/24/05 4:08PM - Dr. Beverly Brown: How do you define the terms "seed coat" and "cotyledon? I'm a little confused by your comment about the seed coat providing energy for the embryo to grow. Has your class talked about monocots and dicots? You might want to investigate what wheat is supposed to be.
5/2/05 2:23PM - Dr. Jeffrey Osborn: I think that testing fertilizers is an interesting idea and it has far-reaching implications. Have you researched why fertilizers might affect germination time? Why are you assuming that fertilizer will promote growth? The answers to these questions might help you interpret your data. I also agree with Dr. Brown about the need to better define the terms "cotyledon" and "seed coat." Why do you think the monocot-dicot distinction is important to keep in mind when thinking about these terms? I do have a question about your experimental design. How are you going to apply the fertilizer and when? What form of fertilizer will you be using?
