4/29/05 3:08PM - T14: We plan on cutting many of the seed in half and seeing if they can still grow into full plants.  We are also going to cut parts of the plants as they grow.
5/4/05 4:22PM - PEER COMMENT from Bush Team 7 (Yeorgia): Hey Team 14. I think you’re idea is really interesting. What kind of seeds are you planning to use in your experiment. This matters since whether they’re dicot or monocot determines what kind of effect the cutting has on them. Also, how will you be cutting the seeds? Down the sides? Across the middles? Well just post your responses and I’ll keep in touch.
5/4/05 3:20PM - Dr. Jeffrey Osborn: Dear Team 14: This is a very creative idea. Do you have any ideas about what parts you might be able to trim without killing the plant or how the plant may respond to being injured? You could do some cool background research into plant defense mechanisms. Do you think when you cut the plants, that might make a difference?
