Mabelia connatifila, one of the triurid taxa represented by exquisitely preserved flowers found in the Cretaceous Raritan Formation of New Jersey. Mabelia is portrayed in a reconstructed habitat of leaf litter that includes remains of the fern Boodlepteris, hamamelids, and conifers (Brachyphyllum).
