Dear Members of the Phychlogical Section of BSA

This year the Phycological Section of BSA is instituting a $400 travel award to assist a student (graduate or undergraduate) attending the BSA meeting. If you have a student who is making a presentation or who would benefit from attending the Botany 2005 meeting in Austin, please encourage them to apply.

Students should submit a one-page proposal that mentions their advisor and institution, addresses the student's research interests in phycology, and explains why he or she wishes to attend the meeting. If they are making a presentation at Botany 2005 they should include a copy of the title and abstract for the paper/poster. The student's advisor should send an e-mail stating that he or she is aware of the application, and that the student is in good academic standing.
