American Journal of Botany Named One of 100 Most Influential Journals
in Last 100 Years
The American Journal of Botany, published by the Botanical Society of America, has been selected as one of the 100 most influential journals over the last 100 years in the field of biology and medicine, based on a survey by the Special Libraries Association (SLA). This list was compiled by the BioMedical & Life Sciences Division (DBIO) of the SLA on the occasion of its centennial. Nearly 700 DBIO members made the final selections.
“The American Journal of Botany has had many excellent Editors-in-Chief, Associate Editors, editorial office staff, reviewers and authors over the past decades of publication,” said Judy Jernstedt, Editor-in-Chief of the AJB. “This is welcome recognition of their hard work and outstanding scientific contributions. Our challenge now is to maintain and further enhance this reputation for another century.”
The entire list is available for viewing at http://units.sla.org/division/dbio/publications/resources/dbio100.html. The SLA is a professional organization of subject specialist librarians, information managers, and publishing industry representatives.
