The Botanical Society of America sends a big thanks to Karl Niklas, Elizabeth Lawson, Beth Hazen, Caroline Spellman, Ellen Cotter, the Associate Editors, and all the people who have participated in bringing us the American Journal of Botany over the past ten years. Thank you for your time, energy and dedication to the journal. You've done an exemplary job.

2. Winter issue of the Plant Science Bulletin

3. Botanical Society Centennial - Images
Images have started to trickle in as we build our collection in support of the BSA centennial celebrations. Thanks to those folks who have taken the time to send them in! We'll place the online at: http://www.botany.org/plantimages/bsamembers.php If you have old photos please take a few minutes and send them in and support this project.

4. Special 90th Anniversary Issue of the American Journal of Botany

5. Call for Nominations - BSA Officers

Nominations are open for the awards listed above. The links lead you to the information and criteria available for each award. Please take the time to recognize the outstanding botanical works of your peers, colleagues, students and mentors.

7. Call for Abstracts - BOTANY 2005
The BOTANY 2005 "Call for Abstracts" has been placed on the BSA website. The overall submission format has changed slightly. Six presentation options are available, and each presentation requires an abstract (CONTRIBUTED PRESENTATIONS: Oral Paper, Poster, Discussion Session, Education Forum Session; INVITED PRESENTATIONS: Symposium or Colloquium Presentation, Special Lecture). Please see the notification via the link listed below.

The deadline for abstract submissions is April 1, 2005 (the abstract submission process will open January 5, 2005). All abstracts and the final program will be available online at the BOTANY 2005 web site prior to the conference, and hard copies will be distributed on-site to all conference registrants. 8. BSA Membership Renewal
Membership renewals are coming in at a good pace. Roughly a half of you have renewed to date. Thanks for taking the time to complete this task!
