Call for Nominations
Pteridological Section
Botanical Society of America

Dear Pteridological Section Member,

We are currently soliciting nominations to fill a two-year position as Chair of the Pteridological Section. The duties of the position are:

1) attend the BSA Council Meeting at the August national meetings (a duty shared with the secretary/treasurer),
2) chair the annual Pteridological Section meeting held at the annual BSA meetings,
3) communicate with the BSA Executive Director
4) coordinate election for secretary/treasurer,
5) publicize annual Student Travel Awards, assemble selection committee, distribute and review applications, write award letters
6) develop and implement (in conjunction with the secretary/treasurer) an application and selection system for administering a $500 research award to a qualified undergraduate/graduate student
