2005 BSA ELECTRONIC BALLOT

Below you will find the 2005 BSA Electronic Election Ballot. You may also receive a mail ballot in 2005 as we transition to a totally electronic system. Please vote once, by only one method.

The ballot includes a brief biography for each candidate followed by "email voting links" to be used to cast your votes electronically. Please vote for one person in each of the two categories, PRESIDENT-ELECT and Program Director. Do so by clicking on the email link provided for that candidate (or copying the link into an email message), placing the comment "2005 BSA Election" in the subject line, and pushing send.

Electronic Voting will close at 11:59 PM on Thusday, June 30th. All ballots will be tallied after the mail arrives on July 1, 2005.

Christopher H. Haufler - Professor and Chair of the Plant Biology Program in the Department of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology; Director of Undergraduate Biology in the Division of Biological Sciences, University of Kansas. BA Hiram College, 1972; Ph.D. Indiana University, 1977.
Research Interests: Systematics of seed-free vascular plants; modes and mechanisms of speciation in ferns; phylogeny and biogeography of the Polypodiaceae.

Research Highlights: Received over $3.6 million in extramural grant funding; Recipient, “Walker and Doris Allen Fellowship for Faculty Excellence,” Truman’s highest award for recognizing outstanding faculty in a research, teaching, mentoring, and service; Recipient, “Outstanding Research Award,” Sigma Xi, the Scientific Research Society.
